A royal stronghold of Saint Louis rebuilt by par Louis Ist of Anjou as a palace.
It falls into the domain of Louis XIth in 1480.

It has remained in the same family since 1060. Descendants of the founders
still live here today. Its underground network speak of an intense past cave
life and has galleries which can be visited with a more than 1km walk.
